There are devastating forest fires that have swept through los valles centrales in Oaxaca starting with the pueblo of San Lucas Quiaviní and various other neighboring pueblos.
There is very little resources and no support from the government to try to fight these fires. The communities living in these pueblos have had to risk their lives to combat the fires themselves.
